A ground station in Paris

On 9 and 10 September 2026, political leaders, space agencies and companies from around the world gathered at the Grand Palais in Paris for the International Space Summit. They discussed the future of the space economy, international cooperation and security. Stellar brought a mobile ground system that put a practical capability at the centre of those conversations.

‍

A 2.4-metre antenna integrated into Stellar’s mobile system platform tracked satellites and received Earth observation data live. The demonstration drew attention well beyond the technical community: French President Emmanuel Macron and Germany’s Federal Minister for Research, Technology and Space, Dorothee Bär, stopped to see the system at work.

Ground access cannot always depend on a permanent installation being available at the right place. A deployable system can be brought to a new location and connected where it is needed. That flexibility becomes especially valuable when requirements change quickly or existing infrastructure cannot be relied upon. Antenna technology designed for industrial series production offers a way to make this capacity available on a broader scale.

‍

Stellar’s role is to integrate the equipment into a working mobile platform. In Paris, we had the rare opportunity to show that capability in operation, at an event where the future of European space infrastructure was being discussed.
